The Everett Alvarez Girls Soccer Program makes history.... AGAIN! The Eagles kept up their winning streak they had in CCS and pushed it along entering the CIF Regional Tournament (State Playoffs)! They earned their way to hosting two rounds beating Mission College Prep (Central Section) and Torres (Central Section) and then faced off against the #1 seeded Marin Catholic (North Coast Section) for the CIF title! This marks not only the program's first ever in the CIF tournament but they made it all the way to the finals! The Eagles pushed through bad weather and a tough team and ended regulation play tied 1-1. With the CIF rules stating that this would be the "golden goal" 15 minute overtime, the pressure was on as the first one to score would win. The Eagles pushed hard until the last few minutes left in OT, the ball got through and into our goal ending the game 1-2 as the final score. Your Eagles fought hard and pushed themselves to the limit and have earned themselves into the record books with the school's first-ever CIF Regional Trophy. No other team sport has brought home that kind of hardware to add to the trophy case. Congratulations Eagles!
