TWO NEW PROGRAM HEAD COACHES
Hey Eagle Nation!
We have a couple of new program head coaches to introduce to our Eagle Nation!
Girls Volleyball: Coach Makanani
Coach Tim Makanani comes from the Island of Kauai, Hawaii. He has played and coached volleyball, football, baseball, softball, and basketball at the high school level and in travel club ball. Coach Makanani works on campus as campus security and has been on staff for a few years. He states: "I am excited to be given this opportunity as Everett Alvarez Eagles Volleyball Coach this season. My coaches and I are anticipating big things for our program as we are getting ready to put things into action. Please come out and support our girls and Eagle Nation!"
Water Polo: Coach Osorio
Coach Pedro Osorio comes from San Bernardino, California. He has been playing water polo for ten years. He attended and plated at Cajon High School in San Bernardino and played for the Renegades water polo club throughout high school and into college. After high school, he played at Riverside City College where his team placed third at state. After community college, he transferred to McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois where his team won the conference championship. He recently relocated to the Salinas area where he is a substitute teacher for the district.
Eagles Athletics is very excited for the new chapters of these two programs and cannot wait to see you all out there being a part of the action!
Again, welcome Coach Makanani and Coach Osorio to the Eagle Nation!
