Track and Field is one of the few team sports within athletics that also serves as an individual sport. After league championships, the team aspect only plays back in with the amount of individuals qualifying beyond that meet. In the case of Roselyn Olivo (11th grade), she is the sole-qualifier for the CCS Championships Semifinals coming out of a very competitive PCAL Masters Meet. Roselyn qualified in the 1600 meter race (metric mile) where she ran against the league's best last week and earned herself a 7th place finisher and stamping her ticket to CCS with a 5:43:43 finish (her personal record standing at 5:37:08). The CCS Semifinals will take place at Gilroy High School on Saturday 5/14/2022 with a gun start time of 11:40am. If she qualifies within the top four (4) finishers in her heat or is within the next four (4) fastest overall, she will qualify for the CCS Finals on Saturday 5/21/2022 at Gilroy High School with a gun start time of 5:20pm.
